Yellowcard: The 2026 Up Up Down Down Tour

May 19, 2026 – Stir Cove – Council Bluffs, IA

Stir Cove in Council Bluffs, Iowa was the place to be on Tuesday night, May 19, 2026, as Yellowcard brought their Up Up Down Down Tour to town. Stir Cove has been knocking it out of the park this year with their Summer Concert Series, and the crazy part is that we are just getting started.

The night kicked off with Plain White T’s, and they were such a fun way to start the show. The band formed in Lombard, Illinois, in 1997 and built their name through years of playing basements, clubs, and bars before breaking through in a huge way.

Of course, most people know them best for “Hey There Delilah,” which became a massive number-one hit, went platinum, and earned the band two Grammy nominations in 2008 for Song of the Year and Best Pop Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocals. They also won a Teen Choice Award for Choice Summer Song and were nominated for New Artist of the Year at the American Music Awards. Their songs “1, 2, 3, 4” and “Rhythm of Love” also went platinum, giving the band a catalog that still connects with a lot of people.

Seeing them live was a lot of fun. They sounded great, had a relaxed energy onstage, and gave the crowd plenty to sing along to. When they ended their set with “Hey There Delilah,” it turned into one of those moments that could give you chills. The whole crowd was locked in, singing every word together, and it was a perfect reminder of how big that song still is.

Plain White T’s currently have over 11.6 million monthly listeners on Spotify, and they recently re-released “Hey There Delilah” as a single with some cool remixes. They were a great way to kick off the show.

Plain White T’s Setlist:

  • Feeling (More Like) Myself
  • Hate (I Really Don’t Like You)
  • Would You Even
  • All That We Needed
  • 1, 2, 3, 4
  • Our Time Now
  • Rhythm of Love
  • Happy Birthday to You (Dedicated to their photographer Hailey)
  • Hey There Delilah

After a set change, it was time for New Found Glory, and these guys kicked the night into another gear.

Formed in Coral Springs, Florida, in 1997, New Found Glory has been one of the most important bands in pop punk for decades. The band currently consists of Jordan Pundik on lead vocals, Ian Grushka on bass, Chad Gilbert on guitar and backing vocals, and Cyrus Bolooki on drums.

They helped define the sound of early 2000s pop punk with albums like Nothing Gold Can Stay, New Found Glory, and Sticks and Stones, which featured the massive fan favorite “My Friends Over You.” Their influence on the genre is hard to overstate, and they have often been called one of the key pioneers of pop punk and easycore.

They have also earned plenty of recognition over the years, including an MTV Video Music Award nomination in 2004 for “All Downhill From Here” in the Breakthrough Video category and a Teen Choice Award nomination for Choice Rock Group.

Live, New Found Glory brought exactly the kind of energy you would expect from them. Their set was fast, loud, and full of personality. The crowd loved them, and it felt like everyone around me was either singing along, jumping, or smiling. They could easily headline any show, and this set proved it.

The band currently has over 1.8 million monthly listeners on Spotify, and their latest release, Listen Up!, is definitely an album worth checking out. They were a perfect middle act because they took the energy from Plain White T’s and turned it way up.

New Found Glory Setlist:

  • A Love Song
  • Understatement
  • Hit or Miss
  • Head On Collision
  • All Downhill From Here
  • Hold My Hand
  • Something I Call Personality
  • Laugh It Off
  • Dressed to Kill
  • Failure’s Not Flattering
  • Beer and Blood Stains
  • Part of Your World (Alan Menken cover)
  • Truth of My Youth
  • Sincerely Me
  • My Friends Over You

After another set change, the sun went down, and it was finally time for Yellowcard.

They kicked things off in one of the most fun ways possible, with the theme from Ghostbusters playing as the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man was chased around and a crew member threw T-shirts into the crowd. It was silly, unexpected, and a great way to get everyone hyped up before the band even walked out.

Then the stage filled with smoke and dark blue lights, and when Yellowcard came out, the crowd went crazy.

Yellowcard formed in Jacksonville, Florida, in 1997 and has always stood out in the pop punk world because of their signature use of violin. Their current lineup includes Ryan Key, Ryan Mendez, Josh Portman, and Sean Mackin, with Mackin being the only remaining original member.

Their 2003 album Ocean Avenue became a defining release for the band and for the genre. The album has been certified platinum in the United States, while the song “Ocean Avenue” has been certified double platinum. “Only One” and their 2006 album Lights and Sounds have also been certified gold. Over the years, Yellowcard has earned several major award nominations, including MTV Video Music Award nominations for “Ocean Avenue” and Teen Choice Award nominations for Choice Rock Group and Choice Breakout Music Artist. “Ocean Avenue” also won the MTV2 Award in 2004.

After disbanding for several years, Yellowcard reunited in 2022 and returned with new music, including the Childhood Eyes EP in 2023 and the album Better Days in 2025. Judging by the crowd at Stir Cove, fans are very happy to have them back.

They looked and sounded great. The cool lighting and fog effects added a lot to the atmosphere, especially once the sun was down and the stage took on that deep blue glow. Ryan Key sounded strong, the band was tight, and Sean Mackin’s violin gave the songs that unmistakable Yellowcard sound.

This was my second time seeing them live, and they delivered again. There is just something about hearing “Ocean Avenue” in person that hits different. It is one of those songs that instantly takes people back, and when the whole crowd sings it together, it becomes more than just a song. It becomes a moment.

Yellowcard currently has over 4.7 million monthly listeners on Spotify, and they recently released new singles with Avril Lavigne, Good Charlotte, and Blippi that are all worth checking out. They are clearly not just living off nostalgia. They are still creating, still touring, and still giving fans a reason to show up.

Plain White T’s brought the singalong moments, New Found Glory brought the pop punk energy, and Yellowcard closed the night with a set full of nostalgia, emotion, and fun.

Great show!
