That’s right! Sand In My Boots is officially coming back in 2027!
Morgan Wallen and AEG Presents have announced the second edition of the three-day festival, returning to the beaches of Gulf Shores, Alabama from May 21-23, 2027. Morgan Wallen, Kings of Leon and Ella Langley will headline, with passes going on sale Friday, November 6 at 10 a.m. CT.
I was lucky enough to cover the inaugural Sand In My Boots in 2025, and it was one of the most fun festivals I’ve ever worked. After taking 2026 off, I’m extremely excited to say that I’ve been invited back to cover it again in 2027.
What makes Sand In My Boots so different is the variety. The festival is personally curated by Morgan Wallen and mixes country, rock, hip-hop, electronic music and more. It really does feel like one giant beach vacation with a massive music festival happening around you.
The 2027 lineup is stacked.
Morgan Wallen, Kings of Leon, Ella Langley, Kygo, Empire Of The Sun, Nelly, Flo Rida, Gavin Adcock, Koe Wetzel, Cole Swindell, Third Eye Blind, Midland, Hudson Westbrook, Gucci Mane, Vincent Mason, Rick Ross, Corey Kent, Avery Anna, Kameron Marlowe, Zach John King, Juicy J, Girl Talk, Ying Yang Twins, Waylon Wyatt, Project Pat, Blake Whiten, Corey Smith, Carter Faith, Jason Scott & The High Heat, Kashus Culpepper, Jacob Hackworth, Kenny Whitmire and Phil Kane are all scheduled to perform.
Ella Langley is also returning after performing at the inaugural festival in 2025, this time as a headliner. Kings of Leon round out the top of the bill, while the rest of the lineup brings together artists who normally wouldn’t share the same festival stage.
That was one of my favorite things about covering the festival in 2025. You could go from country to hip-hop, then walk across the beach and hear EDM or rock. I covered artists like Morgan Wallen, Post Malone, T-Pain, HARDY, Brooks & Dunn, Diplo, Riley Green, Chase Rice and Bailey Zimmerman, and the entire weekend felt like one giant party.
There’s also plenty to do outside of the music.
The festival combines the concert experience with a Gulf Coast beach vacation, with areas to relax, food, drinks and different activities throughout the grounds. Depending on the pass level, fans can also get access to lounges, premium viewing areas, complimentary bars, gourmet food and even in-ground swimming pools near the main stage.
Sand In My Boots also continues to give back through the Morgan Wallen Foundation. During the 2025 festival, the foundation donated more than $200,000 worth of instruments to five schools in Alabama.
After how much fun I had covering the first one, I couldn’t be more excited to head back.
Sand In My Boots returns May 21-23, 2027 in Gulf Shores, Alabama. All passes include all three days, and there will not be single-day tickets. Public on-sale begins Friday, November 6 at 10 a.m. CT.
See you on the beach!
