March 16, 2024 – Slowdown – Omaha, NE
Omaha, Nebraska was the place to be on Saturday night March 16, 2024 as Josiah and the Bonnevilles brought “The Endurance Tour” to a sold-out crowd at the Slowdown!
The night kicked off with an inspirational performance from Liberia native and folk musician, Mon Rovia.
Rovia was rescued from war in his country, and now lives in the mountains of Tennessee. He has over 657 thousand monthly listeners on Spotify, and his songs have an overall message of peace and hope. Rovia has an amazing voice, and had the audience captivated from the first chord. He has an amazing story and an even brighter personality. A beautiful way to kick off the show!
After a brief intermission, it was time for Josiah and the Bonnevilles!
Contrary to the name, Josiah and the Bonnevilles is pretty much a one-man show consisting of former American Idol contestant, Josiah Lemming.
Lemming delivered an intimate and soul-stirring performance that left the audience enchanted.
Known for his raw emotion and captivating lyrics, Lemming brought a unique energy to the stage that resonated with everyone in the room.
The concert kicked off with a burst of positive energy as Josiah Lemming, with his signature tousled hair and piercing gaze, took center stage.
Throughout his set, Lemming’s raw and emotive vocals took center stage, captivating the audience with every word. From haunting ballads to foot-stomping anthems, each song was delivered with a sense of authenticity that is rare to find in today’s music scene.
One of the most poignant moments of the evening came when Lemming shared personal stories and anecdotes between songs. From tales of heartbreak to moments of triumph, his vulnerability on stage created a deep connection with the audience, turning the concert into an intimate affair. At one point, Lemming took a step back from center stage and strummed his guitar while everyone in attendance sang the chorus of “Ghost,” a song Lemming dedicated to his late mother. It was so emotional, and everyone was zoned in and totally in the moment. I literally had goosebumps.
Musically, Josiah is a force to be reckoned with. He has amassed over 2.5 million monthly listeners on Spotify, and he’s not slowing down anytime soon.
Visually, the stage was simple yet effective, allowing the music to take center stage. Subtle lighting with warm tones complemented the intimate atmosphere, drawing the audience even closer to the heart of the performance.
As the concert came to a close, the crowd was left wanting more. Lemming returned to the stage for an encore, treating the audience to one final, unforgettable performance. As the last chords echoed through the Slowdown, it was clear that Josiah Lemming’s music had left a lasting impact on everyone in attendance.
Josiah continues to push boundaries and redefine what it means to create authentic, soul-stirring music. If you ever have the chance to experience Josiah and the Bonnevilles live, don’t hesitate – it’s an experience you won’t soon forget! He’s absolutely amazing!
