April 5, 2024 – CHI Health Center – Omaha, NE
On Friday night April 5, 2024, the CHI Health Center in Omaha, Nebraska was the place to be.
I had the pleasure of attending Fall Out Boy’s “So Much for (2our) Dust” tour, and let me tell you, it was an experience I won’t soon forget. Before I dive into the high-energy spectacle that was Fall Out Boy, let’s talk about the incredible openers, Jimmy Eat World.
This was my second time seeing them live, and they didn’t disappoint.
Kicking off the night with a bang, they brought their signature blend of emo and alternative rock to the stage. With hits like “A Praise Chorus” and “Sweetness,” they had the crowd on their feet from the moment they stepped into the spotlight. Lead vocalist Jim Adkins’ voice soared through the CHI Center, carrying emotion and energy with each note. Their tight instrumentation and undeniable stage presence set the perfect tone for the rest of the evening.
The band has nearly 12 million monthly listeners on Spotify, and has been electrifying crowds since their formation in 1993 in Mesa, Arizona. This night was no different, and being able to witness “Hear You Me” live and in person for a second time was amazing. These guys aren’t slowing down a bit, and it was the perfect way to kick off the show.

Pete Wentz’s bass lines pulsated through the CHI Center, driving the rhythm forward with an irresistible intensity. As the final notes of “Saturday” echoed through the arena and the band bid us farewell, it was clear that we had just witnessed something truly special.
