April 20, 2024 – Liberty First Federal Credit Union Arena – Omaha, NE

The Liberty First Federal Credit Union Arena was the place to be on April 20, 2024 because Hairball brought their We Like To Party Tour to Omaha, Nebraska.

This was my fifth time covering Hairball, and they get better every time!

The night kicked off with a local band, Trick Police, a Cheap Trick cover band that definitely knows how to put on a show!

The band was formed in 2020 and consists of Steve Reckinger, taking on the role of Robin Zander, Stan Fritz, Wayne Fritz, and John Kent. They covered all of Cheap Trick’s greatest hits and the audience loved these guys. It was a fantastic way to kick off the show!

After a brief intermission, it was time for the main event – Hairball!

Just like the previous times seeing them, this was an electrifying blast from the past!

Hairball knows how to rock the stage with their incredible renditions of classic rock hits spanning decades. The venue was packed with fans of all ages, eager to relive the magic of bands like KISS, Guns N’ Roses, Def Leppard, Motorhead, and many others.  Hairball delivered again!

One of the coolest things about them is their attention to detail. Not only do they nail the music, but they also go all out with costumes, makeup, and stage theatrics. During their set, they seamlessly transitioned from one iconic rock anthem to another, keeping the energy high and the crowd on their feet.

The lead vocalists of Hairball are true showmen. Each one channels the spirit of the rock legends they’re paying tribute to. From the high-energy antics of their “Gene Simmons” to the charismatic swagger of their “Axl Rose,” every member of Hairball brings something special to the table. The band consists of Kris Vox (vocals), Drew Hart (vocals), Dave Moody (vocals), Happy (lead guitar), and Brian HBK (bass guitar).

What’s also impressive is the range of their repertoire. They cover a wide spectrum of rock classics, from the anthemic hits of Journey to the hard-hitting tunes of AC/DC. The guitar solos were spot on, and the drumming was thunderous—just like you’d expect from the original bands.

The audience was totally into it, singing along to every chorus and raising their devil horns during the epic guitar riffs. It was like being transported back in time to the heyday of arena rock.

Hairball puts on one heck of a show. Whether you’re a die-hard fan of classic rock or just looking for a good time, catching a Hairball concert is an experience you won’t forget. They bring the nostalgia and the rock ‘n’ roll spirit in full force, making it a night to remember for everyone in the crowd. “A band puts on a concert – Hairball puts on an event!”

Absolutely fantastic!
