March 26, 2022 – The Baxter Arena – Omaha
After months of anticipation, on March 26, 2022, the No Limit Reunion Tour finally made its way to Omaha, Nebraska at the Baxter Arena, and it was awesome!
Filled with performances from Hip Hop and Rap megastars, the night featured unforgettable entertainment from Master P, Silkk the Shocker, and a host of others!
Following along with the No Limit Soldiers theme, camouflage was encouraged, and thousands of fans showed up, and showed out!
Kicking off the night was Omaha’s own, and comedian extraordinaire, Joshua El’ Stupo. Hot off the heels of the Valentine’s R&B Bash in February, El’ Stupo continued his momentum, and was the perfect choice to get the crowd loosened up and ready to party. This guy is hilarious, and his alter ego, Uncle Willie Dean, also made an appearance!
After a series of short performances from Young Bleed, Mr. Serv-On, and Fiend, the headliners for the show started their sets.
First up was Mia X, the first female rapper to land a contract with Master P on his record label, No Limit Records. Dressed in a bedazzled camouflage jumpsuit that read, “Mama Mia”, on the back, X received a huge ovation from the crowd. At age 52, and after beating uterine cancer, she looked and sounded great! She has over 48 thousand monthly listeners on Spotify, and has performed alongside the likes of Fat Joe, Master P, Snoop Dogg, and Silkk the Shocker. Mia definitely brought some much-needed girl power to the stage, and was a perfect addition to the stacked lineup.
Next to the stage was New Orleans native, and Rap legend, Silkk the Shocker. In 1996, his debut album, “The Shocker”, put him on the map, and ever since, he’s been producing music and collaborating with stars such as Snoop Dogg, Destiny’s Child, Mystikal, Trina, and Master P. Complete with a camouflage No Limit Tour jacket and gold chains, Shocker entertained the crowd with hits such as, “How Ya Do That”, “I’m a Soldier”, and “It Ain’t My Fault”. Silkk the Shocker is actually the younger brother of Master P, and has over 330 thousand monthly listeners on Spotify.
After a brief set of classic songs from the DJ, the next headliner, Mystikal, took the stage. Mystical, also a New Orleans native, received a great reaction from the crowd. He’s been in the rap game for close to 30 years, and has performed with some of the biggest names in Hip Hop and Rap including, Juvenile, Method Man, Master P, Mariah Carey, Busta Rhymes, Naughty By Nature, Snoop Dogg, and many others. He has over 930 thousand monthly listeners on Spotify, and doesn’t seem to be slowing down any time soon. For me, the highlight of his set was hearing him perform one of his biggest hits, “Shake Ya Ass”, from his 2000 album, “Let’s Get Ready.”
After a brief intermission, it was time for the headliner, Master P, to take the stage.
Outfitted with a camouflage jacket, and lots of bling, P was greeted with cheers and excitement from the crowd. They were on their feet for the duration of his set, singing and dancing along to some of his most recognized hits including, “Mr. Ice Cream Man”, and “Make ‘Em Say Uhh!.” Master P has been performing for over 30 years, and is the founder of his own record label, No Limit Records. Throughout his performance, he stressed unity and love to the thousands in attendance. His rap music career is unrivaled, with certified triple platinum and certified gold albums, MTV Music Award nominations, number one Billboard Chart hits, and millions of albums sold. Currently, he has over 752 thousand monthly listeners on Spotify, and makes millions of dollars from his record company, travel agency, real estate endeavors, stocks, film, television, clothing, and jewelry lines. It was an amazing experience seeing him live, and along with the other No Limit Soldiers, he provided concertgoers in Omaha a night of unforgettable entertainment!
