Stir Cove in Council Bluffs, Iowa was the place to be on Saturday night July 13, 2024 because the legendary surf rock band The Beach Boys treated fans to an amazing night of music!

Even though the temperature outside was in the high 80’s, that didn’t stop thousands of concertgoers from packing Stir Cove.

The Beach Boys, known for their iconic harmonies and surf rock sound, have been around since the early 1960s. Formed by brothers Brian, Dennis, and Carl Wilson, their cousin Mike Love, and friend Al Jardine, the band quickly rose to fame with hits like “Surfin’ USA” and “California Girls.” Even though they’ve gone through various lineup changes over the years, their music remains timeless.

The current lineup includes Mike Love, Al Jardine, Bruce Johnston, and a few guest musicians depending on the tour.

The concert kicked off with “Do It Again,” instantly setting the nostalgic tone for the evening.

Mike Love, one of the original members, was all smiles, and it’s incredible to see him still rocking the stage after all these years.

All the members looked and sounded great, and they definitely gave the crowd at Stir their money’s worth. Their 37-song setlist was packed full of chart-toppers and a few lesser known gems from their massive music library. 

As the concert came to a close with “Fun, Fun, Fun,” the entire audience was on their feet, dancing and singing along. It was a perfect ending to a night filled with good vibes and classic tunes.

The Beach Boys have over 14 million monthly listeners on Spotify, and the band is reaching the current generation by releasing special dance remixes of some of their most popular songs remixed by DJs like Steve Aoki.

Even after all these decades, The Beach Boys still know how to party. They managed to capture the essence of their original sound while still bringing something fresh to the stage.
