May 17-19, 2024 – Gulf Shores, Alabama

Alabama was the place to be the weekend of May 17th-19th because the Hangout Music Festival returned to the beaches of Gulf Shores, and it was epic!

This was my first time attending the Hangout Festival, and it didn’t disappoint.

The three-day festival literally had something for everyone, and had its share of unforgettable moments.

This year brought new stages, new experiences, and new VIP perks for festival goers.

The new Boom on the Beach stage presented by SHEIN, was outfitted with lasers, LED lighting, and amazing pyrotechnics, and featured jaw-dropping performances by The Chainsmokers, Subtronics, Alison Wonderland, Dom Dolla, Sexyy Red, and a host of others.

The Shoreline stage was also a new addition for this year’s festival and hosted artists like Koe Wetzel, Megan Moroney, NLE Choppa, Qveen Herby, and many more.

The Hangout main stage was rocking with huge acts like Odesza, Cage the Elephant, Lana Del Rey, Dominic Fike, Nelly, and Zach Bryan.

If that wasn’t enough, Hangout also featured the Mermaid stage, which featured up-and-coming indie acts, and the Monster Beach Club area, where fans could dance to some of the best DJs around.

I can’t say enough good things about the whole experience. In addition to being organized, clean, and safe, the Hangout Festival provided so many cool things for festival goers to experience. There were numerous delicious food and drink options, merchandise stands, and cool products to sample. There was even a puppy petting area!

If you’re a music lover seeking an unforgettable weekend in the sun, the Hangout Music Festival is for you.  The environment is truly awe-inspiring, complete with white sandy beaches, Gulf waters, and amazing entertainment.

This year’s festival had such a diverse lineup across all genres, so whatever kind of music you like, there was something for you. One of my favorite parts was being able to see some of my favorite nationally-known acts and discover new artists. We were even treated to a few surprise appearances from the likes of Tommy Genesis, Nessa Barrett, Benson Boone, and Jelly Roll!

It’s also worth mentioning that if for some reason you need a break from the music on the beach, there’s a cool beachfront restaurant called The Hangout, and a really fun bar called Pink Pony Pub to visit.

I’d like to personally thank the media team at the Hangout Festival for allowing me to cover the event.  They were so nice, organized, and accommodating, and I’m hoping I’ll be invited back for next year’s edition!

The 2024 Hangout Music Festival was more than just a three day concert.  It was an amazing experience that fans will remember for a lifetime!
