Friday night, October 24, 2025, at Steelhouse in downtown Omaha was the place to be because Russell Dickerson brought his 2025 Russell Mania tour to town, and fans definitely got their money’s worth.
The show kicked off with DJ VAVO. This guy’s energy was off the charts! VAVO is an innovator merging country and EDM (often dubbed “YEEDM”), and he’s not just playing parties—he’s scored multiple No. 1 hits on U.S. Dance Radio and entries on Billboard’s Dance charts. He has over 904 thousand monthly listeners on Spotify, and his latest single, “Lose You Tonight” with Dan Caplen is so catchy and addicting! It was the perfect way to open the show. He had the crowd dancing, raised the energy, and set the stage for the main event.
After a brief intermission, it was time for Russell Dickerson. The stage looked awesome: a large video screen, multi-levels, lights flashing everywhere. The “ring announcer” gave introductions to each member of the band and finally Russell himself, who came out carrying a championship belt. He held it high above his head, flexed, and dove right into the music—it actually reminded me of being at a WWE show, and the “Russell Mania” moniker felt spot on.
Dickerson currently has over 4.6 million monthly listeners on Spotify, and his latest single, “Happen To Me” featuring the Jonas Brothers is definitely worth adding to your playlist. He’s earned multi-platinum certifications (for example his song “Yours” is 3×-Platinum), and he’s had five No. 1 singles on Billboard’s Country Airplay chart. He’s also been nominated for awards like the ACM Awards’ New Male Artist of the Year.
He looked and sounded great, his energy was off the charts, and the whole production matched that vibe—huge sound, lights, video effects, and high energy audience interaction. The championship belt intro, the hyped crowd, the big stage—everything combined to make it feel more than just a concert; it was an event.
