Festival season is about to hit the beach in a big way as the Tortuga Music Festival returns to the white sands of Fort Lauderdale Beach Park from April 10 through April 12, 2026. This will be my first time covering Tortuga, and honestly, it’s one I’m really excited for. Everything about it just looks like the kind of weekend you don’t forget.
There’s something really appealing about the whole setup. You’ve got multiple stages right on the sand, the ocean basically steps away, and a lineup that pulls from all over the map. It’s not just country music, even though that’s the backbone. There’s rock, pop, and a little bit of everything mixed in, which makes it feel like there’s always something new to check out throughout the day.
Friday is going to kick things off in a big way with Post Malone headlining. He’s one of those artists that can cross genres without missing a beat, and it feels like a perfect way to open the weekend. The rest of the day is loaded too with names like Dwight Yoakam and Ice Cube, along with Lukas Nelson, Ashley Cooke, and Flatland Cavalry. It feels like one of those days where you’ll just keep discovering artists as you go.
Saturday keeps that momentum going with Riley Green closing things out. He’s been building a strong following, and this seems like a great setting for him to really shine. Earlier in the day you’ve got Tyler Hubbard and The Fray, plus artists like Colbie Caillat and G. Love & Special Sauce mixed in. It’s the kind of lineup that makes you want to get there early and stay all day.
Sunday might end up being the most meaningful night of the weekend. Kenny Chesney is returning for his sixth appearance at Tortuga, coming back to the same beach where he first headlined in 2013. That’s a pretty cool full-circle moment, and it feels like the perfect way to close things out. The rest of the day keeps the energy high with Dustin Lynch, Russell Dickerson, Shane Smith & the Saints, and The Wheeland Brothers all on the schedule.
What really makes Tortuga stand out to me though is that it’s about more than just the music. The festival partners with the Rock The Ocean Foundation, and over six million dollars has already been raised to support ocean conservation efforts. That’s something you don’t see at most festivals. From what I’ve read, that mission shows up in everything from sustainability efforts to the overall experience, which just adds another layer to the weekend.
For a first-time visit, this feels like the perfect mix. Great artists, an incredible setting, and a purpose behind it all. I’m looking forward to finally experiencing it in person and seeing how it all comes together on the beach.
The Review Junkie will be there all weekend capturing the performances and everything in between. Stay tuned for full coverage once it wraps up.Tickets and more information can be found at https://tortugamusicfestival.com/
