Preview: The 2026 Tortuga Music Festival – Artist Spotlights

As the Tortuga Music Festival gets ready to take over the sands of Fort Lauderdale Beach Park this April, one of the things that really stands out is just how stacked each day of the lineup is. This is one of those festivals where you can show up early, stay late, and feel like every set is worth your time. With the ocean right there and the energy that Tortuga always seems to bring, this year is shaping up to be something special.

Friday is led by Post Malone, and it’s hard to think of a better way to kick off the weekend. He’s become one of the biggest names in music over the last decade, known for blending hip hop, pop, rock, and even country influences into his sound. He’s racked up multiple Billboard Music Awards, including a massive night in 2020 where he took home nine awards, and he’s been nominated for several Grammy Awards. Songs like “Circles,” “Rockstar,” and “Sunflower” have dominated charts and streaming platforms, and his live shows have a reputation for being just as dynamic as his catalog.

That same day brings some serious legendary presence with Dwight Yoakam, a true pioneer of the Bakersfield sound who has sold over 25 million albums and earned multiple Grammys over his career. His mix of honky tonk and rock has influenced generations of country artists. You also get Ice Cube, who helped shape the foundation of West Coast hip hop as a member of N.W.A before launching a hugely successful solo career. Between classic albums, acting roles, and decades of influence, seeing him on a beach festival lineup is pretty wild in the best way.

Saturday belongs to Riley Green, and it feels like a big moment for him. He’s built his career on a mix of traditional country storytelling and modern appeal, and fans have really connected with it. His breakout hit “There Was This Girl” went No. 1, and he’s picked up awards like ACM New Male Artist of the Year, which helped solidify him as one of the genre’s rising stars. He’s also known for songs like “I Wish Grandpas Never Died,” which really showed a more personal side and resonated with a lot of people.

Earlier in the day, Tyler Hubbard brings his solo work to the stage after massive success as one half of Florida Georgia Line. He’s continued that momentum on his own with hits like “5 Foot 9,” proving he can carry that same energy into this next chapter. Then you’ve got The Fray, who bring a completely different feel with their piano-driven rock sound. Songs like “How to Save a Life” and “Over My Head” are the kind of tracks that everyone seems to know, and they hit even harder in a live setting.

Sunday wraps things up with Kenny Chesney, and this one feels like a full-circle moment. He’s returning for his sixth appearance at Tortuga, coming back to the same beach where he first headlined in 2013. Chesney has built an entire career around that beach lifestyle, which makes this setting feel like home turf for him. He’s one of the most decorated artists in country music with four CMA Entertainer of the Year wins and multiple ACM Entertainer of the Year honors, along with more than 30 No. 1 hits. His shows are known for being high-energy, sing-along experiences, which feels like the perfect way to close out a weekend like this.

Supporting him on Sunday are Dustin Lynch and Russell Dickerson, both of whom have built strong followings of their own. Lynch has scored multiple No. 1 singles including “Small Town Boy” and “Good Girl,” and he’s become a consistent presence on country radio. Dickerson brings a different kind of energy with hits like “Yours” and “Blue Tacoma,” along with a reputation for high-energy live performances that really get the crowd moving.

Beyond the artists, Tortuga itself is what really ties everything together. It’s not just about the music. The festival partners with the Rock The Ocean Foundation, and over six million dollars has been raised to support ocean conservation efforts. That mission, combined with the beach setting and the lineup, gives the whole weekend a vibe that’s hard to replicate anywhere else.

If this lineup is any indication, Tortuga 2026 is going to be one of those weekends people talk about long after it’s over.
