Paranormal Cirquè is Out of This World!

September 12 & 13, 2021 – Westroads Mall – Omaha, NE

Throughout my photography career, I’ve had the privilege to shoot some pretty cool events, but the Paranormal Cirque event ranks right up there as one of my favorites.  I’m a huge fan of horror movies, haunted houses, and all things paranormal, so when I heard the Paranormal Cirque was coming through town, I had to be there.  The Cirque shows have been a long running staple in Las Vegas, but the traveling Cirque shows give crowds a chance to get a little bit more intimate with the performers and catch the action in smaller venues.  I’ve had the chance to photograph Cirque Mechanics, Cirque Italia, and Cirque Musica, and all of the shows are extremely well done and include absolutely amazing talents.  Paranormal Cirque is no different.

On Sunday night September 12, 2021, I attended my first Paranormal Cirque show located in Omaha, Nebraska in the Westroads Mall parking lot.  You’d be amazed at what they can fit under that big white tent!  Lighting rigs, a huge stage, and tiered seating are all carefully arranged under the big white tent.

Upon arriving, guests must go through a haunted house in order to get to their assigned seats.  This was awesome, and totally set the tone for the rest of the night.  Scary figures, skulls, lights, crazy killers with chainsaws, and demonic music were all masterfully put together to frighten show-goers even before the show began!

After sounding a loud siren, the show began with a headhunter welcoming everyone.

The “Wizard”, as I’ll call him, acted as a sort of emcee throughout the show, giving bits of background on what we were about to see, and furthering the storyline of the night.  From one act to the next, this show did not disappoint.  From Ben the master contortionist, to the zombie-inspired acrobats, the crowd was on the edge of their seats.  There was lights, fire, dramatic music, comedy, acrobats, tightwires, magic, and illusion.  It was about halfway through the show, that I made the decision I’d be coming back the next night to witness it all over again, and that’s exactly what I did.
