May 7, 2026 – Steelhouse – Omaha, NE

Thursday night, May 7, 2026 was an amazing night of country music in downtown Omaha, Nebraska as Nate Smith brought his Country Rock & Roll Tour 2026 to Steelhouse Omaha. Thousands of fans packed into the venue, and they definitely got their money’s worth with a lineup that delivered great performances from start to finish.

Opening the show was Brandon Wisham, and I honestly felt privileged to see him perform again because I had just seen him about a month ago at the Tortuga Music Festival in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. The first time I saw him, he performed with a full band behind him, but for the Omaha stop, it was just Wisham and his guitar. To be honest, I think I enjoyed this set even more. Stripping everything down really showcased just how incredible his voice is. Wisham has been steadily building momentum in the country music world with his emotional songwriting and authentic sound. He has already started earning attention from major country playlists and touring opportunities alongside bigger artists, and it feels like he is only scratching the surface of what he’s capable of. He currently has over 72 thousand monthly listeners on Spotify, and his latest single “Tears In Her Tequila” is definitely worth checking out. I genuinely think this guy is going to be huge someday. Fantastic set to open the night.

After a brief intermission, it was time for Josh Ross, and this guy continues to impress me every single time I see him live. This was actually my third time seeing him perform, with the previous two being at the Sand In My Boots Festival and again recently at Tortuga Music Festival. The crowd absolutely loved him from the moment he walked on stage. He looked great, sounded fantastic, and carried himself like a star the entire set. Ross has quickly become one of the fastest rising names in country music, blending country storytelling with rock influences and a polished modern sound. He has won multiple Canadian Country Music Association awards, including Breakthrough Artist of the Year, and his music continues climbing the charts both in Canada and the United States. He currently has over 3.3 million monthly listeners on Spotify, and it feels like his popularity is growing bigger by the day. His set was packed with energy, singalongs, and big moments that had the entire venue engaged from start to finish. Amazing performance!

After another brief intermission, it was finally time for Nate Smith, and the second he hit the stage, the crowd absolutely exploded. With a red Solo cup in hand, Smith looked ready to throw the ultimate country party, and that’s exactly what he did. His energy was completely off the charts all night long. One of the coolest parts of the set was seeing him leave the stage multiple times to interact directly with fans. He walked through the crowd, took selfies with people, and even performed a few songs right there among the audience, which made the entire night feel personal and unforgettable for everyone there.

Nate Smith’s rise in country music has been incredible to watch over the last few years. Before becoming a country star, Smith spent years grinding it out in Nashville while balancing music with other jobs and personal struggles. Everything changed when songs like “Whiskey On You” and “World on Fire” exploded in popularity, helping establish him as one of the biggest breakout stars in country music. He has earned ACM Award nominations, chart-topping singles, and widespread recognition for his powerful vocals and emotional songwriting. Smith currently has over 5.4 million monthly listeners on Spotify, and his latest single with Tyler Hubbard called “After Midnight” is definitely worth adding to your country playlist.

His set was outstanding from beginning to end, and the Omaha crowd showed him a ton of love all night long. Between the incredible performances, the energy inside the venue, and the connection each artist had with the crowd, this turned into one of the most fun country concerts I’ve been to in a long time.

If you have the chance to see any of these guys live, make sure you do.

Great night!
