Mudvayne, Static-X & Vended

September 21, 2025 – Steelhouse – Omaha, NE

Steelhouse in downtown Omaha was the place to be on Sunday night, September 21, 2025, when Mudvayne, Static-X, and Vended came to town. It was a heavy, high-energy night of metal that blew the roof off the place and gave the crowd every bit of their money’s worth.

The night kicked off with Vended, and they were the perfect way to start. The band is made up of Griffin Taylor, Simon Crahan, Jeremiah Pugh, and Cole Espeland, and if those first two names sound familiar, it’s because Griffin is the son of Corey Taylor from Slipknot, and Simon is the son of Slipknot’s Shawn “Clown” Crahan. You could feel that Slipknot bloodline influence right away—raw, aggressive, and full of energy. Their debut self-titled album came out in September 2024, and it’s already shown how strong they are as a young band. Right now, they’ve got over 197 thousand monthly listeners on Spotify, and their music definitely belongs on any heavy metal playlist. The Omaha crowd loved them—lots of fists in the air, plenty of moshing, and they set the tone perfectly for the rest of the night.

Vended Setlist:

  • Nihilism
  • Ded to Me
  • Am I the Only One
  • The Far Side
  • Pitiful
  • Asylum

After a quick changeover, it was time for Static-X, and man, they took things to a whole other level. The lineup—Tony Campos, Koichi Fukuda, Ken Jay, and Xer0—looked and sounded incredible. Static-X has always been known for their “evil disco” sound, and they still bring it full force. With over 1.8 million monthly listeners on Spotify and their 2024 release Project Regeneration, Vol. 2, they’ve proven they’re still going strong. Doing photos for Static-X was an absolute bucket list item for me, and it didn’t disappoint. The production was wild—massive video screens, lasers, smoke bubbles, cryo bursts, a giant Frankenstein, and other costumed creatures roaming the stage. Add in the nonstop energy of the band, and it was pure chaos in the best way. The crowd surfing was constant, and their 14-song set could’ve easily headlined on its own. Absolute blast.

Static-X Setlist:

  • Bled for Days
  • Wisconsin Death Trip
  • Fix
  • Terminator Oscillator
  • Sweat of the Bud
  • Love Dump
  • I Am
  • The Trance Is the Motion
  • Black and White
  • Get to the Gone
  • Dirthouse
  • Cold
  • I’m With Stupid
  • Push It

Finally, after another break, it was time for the headliners—Mudvayne. The band—Chad Gray, Greg Tribbett, Ryan Martinie, and Matthew McDonough—proved why they’re legends in the metal scene. Known for their complex rhythms and crushing sound, they’ve been going strong since 1996 and show no signs of slowing down. They’ve got over 2.4 million monthly listeners on Spotify, and live, it’s easy to see why fans stick with them. The stage lights, the face paint, and the heavy grooves made for a killer show. The crowd was headbanging, moshing, and crowd surfing nonstop through their set.

The whole night was insane from start to finish—three incredible bands, nonstop energy, and a crowd that was fully locked in. Getting the chance to photograph this show was special for me, and it’s one I won’t forget anytime soon. If you ever get the opportunity to catch this lineup, don’t hesitate—it’s everything a metal fan could want.
