Stir Cove in Council Bluffs, IA, was the place to be on Friday night, August 16th, as the country music scene came alive with a killer lineup.

The night kicked off with Kat Hasty, who set the tone with her soulful voice and relatable lyrics.  Hasty is a rising star in the country music scene, known for her raw, heartfelt lyrics and soulful voice. Hailing from Texas, she brings a mix of traditional country sounds with a modern twist, making her music both nostalgic and fresh. With a down-to-earth personality and undeniable talent, Kat Hasty is quickly making a name for herself in the world of country music.

From the moment she stepped on stage, Kat’s powerful voice and genuine presence drew us in. She’s got this way of making every song feel personal, like she’s singing just for you. Her setlist is a perfect mix of soulful ballads and upbeat tunes, showcasing her range and depth as an artist. Whether it’s a track about love, loss, or life’s little moments, she delivers it with so much feeling that you can’t help but be moved. The crowd was always right there with her, singing along, swaying, and just soaking up the vibes. By the end of her set, we felt like we had been on a journey, and Kat is the perfect guide. Next up was Kolby Cooper, and man, did he bring the energy up a notch!

His mix of gritty vocals and rock-infused country had the crowd on their feet from the get-go. Kolby has this way of connecting with the audience that makes you feel like you’re just hanging out with a good friend who happens to be insanely talented. He tore through his set with songs that hit hard and lyrics that hit even harder. You could feel the crowd’s excitement building with each track, especially during his more upbeat numbers that had everyone singing along.   He interacted with the crowd, shared stories, and made sure everyone was having a good time. Whether he’s belting out a rowdy tune or slowing it down for something more emotional, Kolby knows how to keep the energy up and the audience engaged. By the end of his set, we were all left with a buzzing excitement and a playlist of new favorite songs stuck in our heads. Kolby Cooper puts on a show that’s all about good vibes, great music, and a night you won’t soon forget!

After a brief intermission, Koe Wetzel and his band took the stage, and absolutely rocked Stir Cove!
