Omaha, Nebraska was the place to be on Monday night April 15, 2024, because Jon McLaughlin brought his 2024 Coast To Coast Tour to the Reverb Lounge for an amazing night of music.
If you’ve never heard of Jon McLaughlin before, he’s an insanely talented singer-songwriter who’s been making waves in the music industry since 2003. His music is this perfect blend of pop, rock, and soul that just hits you right in the feels.
The concert was held at the Reverb Lounge, which was the perfect setting for Jon’s intimate performance.
The night kicked off with Chris Peters, an Indiana born, Los Angeles based singer-songwriter. This kid was great! He had an amazing voice, and he has mastered the acoustic guitar and looper pedal combo. If you’ve never seen an artist use a looper pedal, it’s quite an experience. Peters would record a loop and seamlessly play the guitar and sing over it as he added more loops throughout. His latest album, “To Be Known” is definitely worth checking out! Great way to start the night!
Next up was Jon McLaughlin!
As soon as he stepped on stage, you could feel the energy in the room skyrocket. This guy knows how to command a stage.
This is my second time seeing Jon live, and one of the things I love most about him is his voice. It’s like liquid gold. He effortlessly hits those high notes and pours so much emotion into every word he sings. Hearing him perform live is a whole different experience. You can really feel the passion and heart behind each song.
Throughout his set, Jon treated us to a mix of his classic hits and some new tracks from his latest album, Mood III. It was the perfect balance of nostalgia and excitement. Jon’s not just a great singer, but also an insanely talented pianist. Watching him effortlessly switch between belting out tunes and tickling the ivories was a sight to behold.
McLaughlin’s funny, charming, and so down-to-earth. Between songs, he shared stories about the inspiration behind his music or cracked jokes that had the whole crowd laughing.
Jon has over 486 thousand monthly listeners on Spotify, and he’s not slowing down any time soon. If you ever get the chance to see him live, do yourself a favor and do it! Trust me, you won’t regret it.
