Omaha was the place to be on Friday night April 21st because The Pork Tornadoes and Hairball were performing at the Liberty First Federal Credit Union Arena in Omaha, Nebraska.
Before Hairball took the stage, fans were treated to the music stylings of The Pork Tornadoes. These guys were fantastic! The band consists of lead singer Mason Greve, who was one of the top 100 finalists on NBC’s The Voice in 2014, bassist Cory, drummer Mike, and keyboardist Jerry. They have nearly 9,000 monthly listeners on Spotify, and are known around the Midwest as a powerful party band. I had never had the chance to experience them live, but I was an instant fan after hearing their versions of popular songs from Coolio, Blink 182, and Lady Gaga. Hairball was next to the stage, and the crowd went crazy! Hairball is an amazing tribute band that is known for their high-energy performances and their ability to transport audiences back in time to the glory days of classic rock. Even though it was my fifth time seeing them, I can honestly say that it was one of the most entertaining concerts I have ever experienced.
From the moment the band took to the stage, it was clear that they were there to put on a show. The stage was set up with all the classic rock trappings, from the pyrotechnics to the huge video screens that flashed images of iconic rock bands from the past. The lead singers were decked out in full costume, complete with wigs and makeup that made them look like the rock legends they were paying tribute to.
Hairball’s setlist was a non-stop barrage of classic rock hits. The band covered songs from a wide variety of artists, including KISS, AC/DC, Guns N’ Roses, and many more. The musicianship was top-notch, with the band nailing every guitar riff and drum beat with precision and passion. The lead singers have incredible voices, and they effortlessly channeled the spirit of each rock icon they were portraying.
One of the highlights of the concert was when the band performed a medley of songs from the legendary rock band Aerosmith. The audience was on their feet, singing and clapping along to every word. The energy in the arena was electric, and it was clear that everyone was having the time of their lives.
Throughout the concert, Hairball also took the time to engage with the audience, encouraging them to sing and dance along to the music. The band’s enthusiasm was infectious, and it was impossible not to get caught up in the excitement of the performance.
Hairball’s concerts are always an absolute blast. The band’s dedication to their craft, their incredible musicianship, and their ability to entertain and engage the audience all comes together to create an unforgettable experience.
