Gaelic Storm Touches Down In Omaha

August 6, 2019 – The Slowdown – Omaha, NE

The Slowdown was taken over by Gaelic Storm, who played for a huge crowd on Tuesday night August 6th.  Formed in 1996 in Santa Monica, California, the band is no stranger to touring, sometimes touring up to 125 days a year!  Front man Patrick Murphy (lead vocals, harmonica, accordion) led his bandmates, Steve Twigger (guitar, lead vocals, mandolin), Katie Grennan (fiddle, vocals), Ryan Lacey (ukulele, vocals, drums), and Peter Purvis (bagpipes, whistle) in an impressive 16-song set list filled with guest dancers, guitar solos, dueling instrumentals, and a lot of energy!  The group played for well over an hour straight, and treated concertgoers to an encore to end their show.  Murphy’s quick wit and humor was a hit with the crowd, and Gaelic Storm proved why they’ve had numerous hits on the Billboard World Chart.  From start to finish, they had the crowd dancing, singing along, and cheering for more.  This was an awesome show!
