October 7, 2025 – The Admiral – Omaha, NE

If you were looking for an amazing concert on a Tuesday night in downtown Omaha, The Admiral had you covered on October 7, 2025, because Franz Ferdinand brought their The Human Fear tour to town—and they absolutely killed it! I’ve been a fan of their music for years, but I had no idea how incredible they would be live. The entire night was packed with energy, fun, and the kind of crowd interaction that makes a concert feel unforgettable.

The evening kicked off with an electric performance from Master Peace. Peace Okezie, known professionally as Master Peace, is a British musician who has been turning heads in the music world. He first gained attention collaborating with Jme and The Streets before releasing a string of successful EPs. In 2024, he dropped his debut album How To Make A Master Peace, which received high praise from critics and even earned him the Rising Star Ivor Novello Award. He followed that with a fourth EP, How To Make A(nuva) Master Peace, continuing to push his distinctive sound blending indie, hip-hop, and alternative influences. He was fantastic live—full of personality, confidence, and humor—and such a fun way to get the crowd involved before the main act. His set was the perfect warm-up, and you could feel the anticipation building as the lights dimmed for the headliners.

After a brief intermission, it was time for Franz Ferdinand. As soon as they walked on stage, the crowd erupted. The band—made up of Alex Kapranos on vocals and guitar, Bob Hardy on bass, Dino Bardot on guitar, Julian Corrie on keyboards and guitar, and Audrey Tait on drums—wasted no time launching into a setlist that was pure fire from start to finish. They were absolutely phenomenal and lit up the stage with their charisma and infectious energy. Every member brought something special to the performance, and the chemistry between them was undeniable. Kapranos in particular had the crowd eating out of his hand—his stage presence was magnetic, and his vocals were every bit as sharp and distinct as on their albums.

Formed in Glasgow, Scotland, in 2002, Franz Ferdinand became one of the biggest names of the early 2000s post-punk revival, breaking out with their 2004 hit Take Me Out, which earned them international fame and multiple awards. Their self-titled debut album won the Mercury Prize and the Brit Award for Best British Group, and they’ve been nominated for several Grammy Awards over the years. Known for their punchy guitar riffs, danceable rhythms, and clever lyricism, the band continues to evolve while maintaining that unmistakable Franz Ferdinand sound.

At The Admiral, the band delivered a flawless mix of new songs from The Human Fear and fan favorites like Do You Want To, No You Girls, and of course, Take Me Out. The entire venue was on its feet, singing, dancing, and clapping along. The lighting, the sound, the energy—everything was on point. Their timing was tight, the transitions seamless, and they performed with the kind of confidence and joy that only comes from years of experience and a genuine love for what they do.

Their latest album, The Human Fear, is definitely worth adding to your playlist. It’s a reminder that Franz Ferdinand still knows how to write songs that make you move while also saying something meaningful. With over 11 million monthly listeners on Spotify, it’s easy to see why they remain one of the most exciting and enduring rock bands around.

What a fantastic show! From start to finish, the night was filled with energy, nostalgia, and the kind of moments that remind you why live music is so special. Franz Ferdinand didn’t just play their songs—they owned the stage, connected with the crowd, and turned a Tuesday night in Omaha into something extraordinary.
