After a brief intermission, it was time for Crowded House!
For those that are unfamiliar, Crowded House is a rock band from New Zealand that’s been making waves since the late ’80s. Formed by Neil Finn, who’s known for his catchy songwriting, and his brother Tim Finn, along with drummer Paul Hester, they quickly became a huge hit with their blend of melodic rock and pop. Their self-titled debut album in 1986, featuring hits like “Don’t Dream It’s Over” and “Something So Strong,” put them on the map and earned them international acclaim.
Over the years, Crowded House has released several successful albums, including Temple of Low Men and Woodface, which cemented their status as one of the iconic bands of the era. They’ve had several lineup changes, but Neil Finn has been a constant driving force. Their music continues to resonate with fans, old and new.
The band has earned a bunch of awards, including multiple ARIA Awards (Australia’s equivalent of the Grammys), and they were inducted into the ARIA Hall of Fame in 2016. Despite a breakup in the 90s, they reunited in 2007 and have continued to tour and release new music, proving they still have that magic that first captivated audiences.
Even after all these years, Crowded House put on an awesome show! The band was on fire, and it was clear they were having a great time up there. Neil Finn’s voice sounded as good as ever, and the whole band was tight and energetic.
The vibe was really relaxed and fun, with lots of great banter and stories between songs.
The band’s chemistry was fantastic, and you could tell they genuinely enjoy performing together. The setlist was perfect, mixing in some of their newer stuff with the hits that everyone loves. It was a night full of great music and good vibes—definitely one to remember!
