Creed: Return of the Summer of ’99 Tour

August 1, 2025 – Pinnacle Bank Arena – Lincoln, NE

Lincoln, Nebraska was the place to be on Friday night, August 1, 2025, as Creed brought their highly anticipated Return of the Summer of ’99 Tour to the Pinnacle Bank Arena. Thousands of fans filled the venue for an unforgettable night of powerful rock music. Kicking things off were Mammoth WVH and Daughtry, and both delivered incredible opening sets that set the tone for an epic evening.

Mammoth WVH kicked things off with a killer set that got the crowd fired up from the start. Wolfgang Van Halen strolled on stage rocking a pink shirt with black and blue lightning bolts and a dark green electric guitar—and he absolutely shredded. His guitar skills are next-level, and it’s clear he’s inherited that Van Halen magic.

The band brought a big, theatrical presence to the stage, and their sound was tight and powerful. Every song hit hard, with Wolfgang leading the charge like a true rock star. He’s not just riding on his famous last name—he’s carving his own path. In fact, his debut album Mammoth WVH earned a Grammy nomination for Best Rock Song with “Distance,” and he’s played every instrument on the studio recordings himself. That’s right—he’s a one-man rock machine when it comes to the studio. He has over 436 thousand monthly listeners on Spotify, and his latest singles, “The Spell” and “The End,” are definitely worth checking out!

What an awesome way to start the show! The energy, musicianship, and Wolfgang’s raw talent made it a performance to remember.

Mammoth WVH Setlist:

  • Another Celebration at the End of the World
  • The Spell
  • Epiphany
  • Take a Bow
  • Don’t Back Down
  • The End

Next to the stage was Daughtry, and they took things to another level. Chris Daughtry looked like a rockstar through and through—dressed in black jeans, a sleeveless black shirt, and silver chains hanging from his side. His blacked-out sleeve tattoos added to his edgy look, and honestly, the guy looks like he’s in incredible shape.

The stage setup was killer, with lights pulsing to the beat and adding drama to every song. It was a full-on rock show experience, and the crowd was loving every minute of it. One of the coolest and most heartfelt moments of the night came when Chris brought his daughter onstage and sang “Waiting for Superman” with her. You could feel the love and emotion pouring off the stage—it was one of those rare concert moments that sticks with you.

Right after that, he slowed things down with a stunning acoustic version of “Home,” and the entire arena lit up with phone flashlights. His voice was raw and beautiful, and you could hear the crowd singing along to every word.

Daughtry’s had a solid career since American Idol, with multiple Grammy nominations, multi-platinum albums, and several Billboard Music Awards, but seeing him live reminds you why he’s stuck around. He’s got the voice, the presence, and the heart to back it all up. An unforgettable performance from start to finish!

  • The Reckoning
  • The Day I Die
  • Separate Ways (Worlds Apart) (Journey cover)
  • Pieces

After a brief intermission, it was time for Creed! Scott Stapp looked and sounded amazing. Dressed in all black with a couple of silver necklaces and rings, he commanded the stage like a true frontman. His voice was strong and clear, and he hit all the big notes that fans came to hear.

The full band lineup—Scott Stapp, Mark Tremonti, Scott Phillips, and Brian Marshall—brought the heat, literally. The stage was an all-out spectacle with fire, cryo blasts, fog, and laser lights lighting up the arena. It was visually insane in the best way possible. They kicked things off with “Bullets,” which immediately got the crowd going, and closed the night out with a powerful encore that ended on “My Sacrifice.” That song hit hard live—goosebumps all around.

I had a lot of friends at the show, and every single one of them said it was one of the best concerts they’ve been to in years. You could just feel how special it was to everyone there.

Creed has had a massive career, selling over 28 million records in the U.S. alone and winning a Grammy for Best Rock Song with “With Arms Wide Open.” They were one of the defining bands of late ’90s and early 2000s rock, and this tour is proof they’ve still got it.

It was an epic set—tight, emotional, and packed with everything you’d want from a Creed show.

Such a fun night!
