Cheat Codes Turns Up the Heat in Omaha

It was a chilly night outside in Omaha, Nebraska on February 15th, but it was a scorcher inside the Slowdown!

Hundreds of fans packed the venue, and the night’s entertainment kicked off with a trio of DJ’s called, Forgotten Senses. They were very low-key, but played some iconic dance tracks to get the crowd warmed up for the next act.

Party Pupils, from Los Angeles, California, hit the stage next, and his energy was infectious. Party Pupils is a duo, but there was only one of them performing on stage. Dressed in a neon yellow track suit with matching headphones and sunglasses, he got the crowd dancing and singing along to his skillfully-mixed playlist. He looked and sounded great, and his set included some iconic dance tunes that the crowd loved. Party Pupils has over 47 thousand monthly listeners on Spotify, and has solidified themselves as a heavy hitter in the Future House genre.

The headliners of the show, Los Angeles based DJ trio, Cheat Codes, were up next, and the crowd went nuts. The group consists of KEVI, Trevor Dahl, and Matthew Russell. The group formed in 2014 and found success with their debut single, “Visions”, proceeded to garner over 15 million views on YouTube, and later toured with The Chainsmokers. They really made a name for themselves in 2016 when their single, “Sex” was released, and their 2017 single, “No Promises” featuring Demi Lovato, went certified Platinum. The trio was cloaked in dark blue and purple lighting for the show and had a huge video screen behind them. They had great energy, and the crowd loved them. The group has over 11.2 million monthly listeners on Spotify, and it’s easy to see why. Their music and remixing skills are top notch. If you have the chance to see them live, do it!
