Chance The Rapper: Coloring Book Ten Year Anniversary Tour

October 2, 2026 – Stir Cove – Council Bluffs, IA

There’s nothing better than an outdoor rap concert on a Friday night in the fall, and Stir Cove did it again with another awesome show.

On Friday night, October 2, 2026, Chance The Rapper brought his show to Council Bluffs, Iowa, and the cove was ready for him.

The night kicked off with La Reezy.

La Reezy, born Khayree Salahuddin, is a rapper and activist from New Orleans, Louisiana. He grew up in the city’s 12th Ward and started making music when he was just 14 years old.

His influences range from artists like Lil Wayne to Tyler, the Creator, and over the past few years, he’s steadily been building his own name. In 2025, he opened for Little Simz and appeared at the Camp Flog Gnaw Carnival. Then in 2026, he earned a spot in XXL’s annual Freshman Class, putting him alongside some of the year’s most talked-about rising artists.

He also released his debut studio album, Skiddle Bandana, in July 2026 and appeared on “Entry” from Busta Rhymes and J Dilla’s collaborative project Dillagence II.

Outside of music, La Reezy is also the founder of the UTH Foundation, a nonprofit focused on creating more opportunities for young people in New Orleans.

This kid is definitely one to keep your eye on.

He had the Stir Cove crowd on their feet throughout his set and did a great job getting everyone primed for the headliner. He looked comfortable onstage, and the audience responded to him right away.

La Reezy currently has over 113 thousand monthly listeners on Spotify, and judging by the reaction he got in Council Bluffs, that number’s probably only going to keep growing.

Great opener.

After a brief intermission, it was time for Chance The Rapper.

A giant sun appeared on the video screen as the crowd waited, and when Chance finally made his way onto the stage, Stir Cove erupted.

This guy knows how to put on a show.

Chance The Rapper, born Chancelor Jonathan Bennett, first started gaining major attention with his mixtape 10 Day in 2012. His follow-up, Acid Rap, took things to another level and helped establish him as one of the most exciting voices coming out of Chicago.

Then came Coloring Book in 2016.

The project became the first streaming-only release to win the Grammy Award for Best Rap Album. Chance also took home Grammys for Best New Artist and Best Rap Performance for “No Problem,” featuring 2 Chainz and Lil Wayne.

That’s a pretty incredible accomplishment for an artist who built so much of his career independently.

Over the years, he’s also appeared on major songs like Kanye West’s “Ultralight Beam” and DJ Khaled’s “I’m the One.” His debut studio album, The Big Day, arrived in 2019 and reached number two on the Billboard 200.

In 2025, Chance released Star Line, his second album, which marked another chapter in his career and gave fans a fresh batch of music heading into this latest round of live shows.

He looked and sounded great.

Chance has a natural charisma onstage that makes it easy to watch him. He knows how to work a crowd, and there was never a point where the energy felt like it dropped. Fans were dancing throughout the set and shouting lyrics back at him whenever a familiar song hit.

The setting helped too.

There’s something about hearing rap music outdoors on a fall night that just works, especially at Stir Cove. Once the sun was down and the stage lights took over, the whole place had a great atmosphere.

Chance seemed to feed off the crowd’s energy, and the crowd gave it right back.

He currently has over 8.1 million monthly listeners on Spotify, and his latest single, “Been Around The World,” is definitely worth checking out.

Between La Reezy’s strong opening set and Chance The Rapper delivering exactly what everyone came to see, this was another great night of music at Stir Cove.
