March 1, 2024 – The Astro – La Vista, NE
La Vista, Nebraska was the setting for an amazing night of music as Bryce Vine brought his “The Saturday Night Tour,” to The Astro on March 1, 2024.
The evening kicked off with Yoshi T., whose magnetic stage presence and infectious beats set the perfect tone for the night. The crowd was immediately drawn to Yoshi T.’s unique blend of genres, from hip-hop to electronic elements, creating an atmosphere of anticipation that lingered throughout his set. T. has over 110 thousand monthly listeners on Spotify, and his latest EP, “How To Get Back,” is definitely worth checking out.
As the excitement continued to build, Hoodie Allen took the stage and elevated the energy to new heights. Allen, born Steven Markowitz, has become synonymous with infectious beats, catchy hooks, and a live performance that never fails to energize his audience. Known for his clever lyricism and genre-blending approach, Hoodie Allen has carved out a unique space in the hip-hop scene. Like usual, Hoodie had the crowd on their feet from the first beat. The set featured a well-balanced mix of Hoodie’s discography, from early fan favorites to more recent hits, ensuring an enjoyable experience for both longtime enthusiasts and those new to his sound. The seamless transitions between tracks and the carefully curated setlist highlighted Allen’s meticulous approach to crafting a live show that resonates with his audience. This was my second time seeing him live, and I think this time was even better than the last. The group has over 2 million monthly listeners on Spotify, and they don’t appear to be slowing down anytime soon. If you get the chance, check out his new single, “American Pie!”

Finally, after a brief intermission, the moment everyone had been waiting for arrived as Bryce Vine stepped into the spotlight. From the first note, it was evident that the night was about to reach its peak. Vine’s smooth vocals and charismatic stage presence immediately captivated the audience. The 22-song setlist blended his hits like “Drew Barrymore” and “La La Land” with newer tracks that showcased his evolving sound.
Interacting effortlessly with the audience, Vine shared personal anecdotes and engaged in genuine conversations between songs. This connection not only highlighted his down-to-earth personality but also created an intimate atmosphere. The crowd responded with enthusiasm, singing along to every lyric and dancing to the infectious beats.
Adding to the magic of the night was Vine’s impeccable stage presence. Backed by a talented band, the live instrumentation added depth and richness to the performance, creating a landscape that resonated with the audience. A highlight for me was when Hoodie Allen joined Vine on stage and the two performed a cover of Smash Mouth’s “All Star.”
