March 29, 2024 – Steelhouse – Omaha, NE

On Friday night March 29, 2024, Steelhouse in Omaha, Nebraska was the place to be for an unforgettable night of country music!

Brothers Osborne, with their special guest Stephen Wilson Jr., brought their “Might As Well Be Us Tour” to a packed house filled with excited country music fans.

The night kicked off with Stephen Wilson Jr., and if you haven’t heard of him, you’re seriously missing out. Wilson is like a musical chameleon, effortlessly blending soul, R&B, and a touch of jazz into his music.

From the moment Wilson stepped onto the stage, he had the crowd in the palm of his hand. His smooth vocals filled the room, backed by a tight band that knew how to groove. Wilson’s stage presence is something else – he moves with such grace and charisma, you can’t help but be drawn in. Signed to Big Loud Records just over a year ago, Wilson has written songs for Caitlyn Smith, Brothers Osborne, Old Dominion, and Sixpence None the Richer.  He was influenced by artists like Willie Nelson, John Mellencamp, and Nirvana, but throughout some parts of his set, his distinctive voice reminded me of Bruce Springsteen.

One thing I love about Wilson is his versatility. He can switch from upbeat, funky tracks that get everyone dancing, to heartfelt ballads that tug at your heartstrings. And his lyrics? Pure poetry. Each song tells a story, weaving together themes of love, life, and everything in between.

You can tell he pours his heart and soul into every performance, leaving it all on the stage. This guy put on one heck of a show, and if you ever get the chance to see him live, do yourself a favor and snag a ticket. Trust me, you won’t regret it.

He has over 307 thousand monthly listeners on Spotify, and his 2023 album, “son of dad” is definitely worth checking out!  What a way to kick off the night!

After a brief intermission, it was time for Brothers Osborne!

If you’re into country music with a side of rockin’ guitar solos and infectious energy, then these brothers are your jam.

First off, John and TJ Osborne are not your average country duo. These guys bring serious talent to the table. John’s guitar skills are out of this world, while TJ’s deep, soulful voice could make even the toughest cowboy shed a tear.

The brothers hail from Deale, Maryland, but they sure know how to bring that Southern charm to the stage.

The concert itself was a wild ride from start to finish. The moment the Brothers hit the stage, the crowd went nuts. They kicked things off with some of their hits like “Might As Well Be Me” and “Nobody’s Nobody,” and let me tell you, the energy was off the charts!

What really impressed me was their ability to mix things up. These guys can seamlessly transition from rocking out to slowing it down with a heartfelt ballad.  John and TJ have this effortless charisma that just draws you in. They’re not afraid to let loose and have a good time, and it’s infectious.

These guys can play. I’m talking killer guitar riffs, tight harmonies, the whole nine yards.  There were more than a few jaw-dropping solos that had the crowd cheering like crazy. For me,the highlight of their set was an amazing cover of Tom Petty’s, “I Won’t Back Down.” It was perfect!

Currently, they have over 3.2 million monthly listeners on Spotify, and they’ve won six Academy of Country Music Awards, 5 Country Music Association Awards, and a Grammy Award!

Brothers Osborne put on one hell of a show. If you’re a fan of country music with a rockin’ edge, do yourself a favor and catch these guys live. Trust me, you won’t be disappointed!
