Breaking Benjamin with Daughtry & Catch Your Breath

April 23, 2024 – Baxter Arena – Omaha, NE

The Baxter Arena in Omaha, Nebraska was the setting for an unbelievable night of rock music on April 23, 2024.  Breaking Benjamin brought their 2024 tour to town with supporting acts, Daughtry and Catch Your Breath.  Thousands of fans packed the arena, and these bands delivered!

Catch Your Breath, the opening act, set the stage on fire. These young rockers from Austin, Texas, brought their A-game. The group has over 1.7 million monthly listeners on Spotify, and they definitely know how to entertain.

Having previously toured with Falling in Reverse and Ice Nine Kills, they’ve fine-tuned their performance. Their breakdowns and infectious choruses had the crowd amped up. Keep an eye on them—they’re rising stars in the hard rock/metal scene. Check out their latest album, Shame On Me!  What a great way to start the show!

Next to the stage was Daughtry!

Frontman Chris Daughtry looked and sounded phenomenal. Seriously, the man’s in peak shape. The band delivered a mix of old and new hits, including their first Mainstream Rock chart-topper, “Artificial.”

A standout moment happened when Chris invited his 13-year-old son, Noah, onstage to play the keyboard during “It’s Not Over.” It was a touching father-son moment that resonated with the audience.

Let’s not forget the surprise covers: Journey’s “Separate Ways,” a soulful acoustic rendition of Deftones’ “Change (In the House of Flies),” and even a dash of Led Zeppelin’s “Kashmir” during “Crashed.”

Rumor has it that a new Daughtry album is in the works – stay tuned!

There’s a reason this group has been nominated for 4 Grammy Awards and has won numerous American Music Awards, Billboard Awards, and BMI Pop Awards. Daughtry was outstanding here!

After a brief intermission, it was time for the headliners – Breaking Benjamin!
These rock titans have been delivering powerhouse performances for years, and this night was no exception.

Ben Burnley’s vocals soared to new heights. I swear he’s never sounded better.

One thing that struck me was the energy of the band. They played with such passion and intensity, feeding off the crowd’s excitement. The guitar solos were epic, and the drums were pounding, keeping everyone hyped up.

They also mixed in some newer tracks from their latest album, which sounded fantastic live. The stage setup was pretty cool too, with dynamic lighting and visuals that added to the overall experience.

In a fun surprise for the fans, midway through their set, they paused to launch free merch into the crowd, all set to Huey Lewis and the News’ “The Power of Love.” Imagine tees flying everywhere while Huey jams—it was pure fun!

Breaking Benjamin’s musicianship is unmatched. They’ve released six studio albums and have over 6.5 million monthly listeners on Spotify. They’re seriously one of the best live acts on the planet!

If you haven’t witnessed their energy firsthand, put it on your bucket list.

Omaha got its money’s worth and then some!
