Benson Boone: The Pulse Tour

June 14, 2023 – The Waiting Room – Omaha, NE

On Wednesday night June 14th, Benson Boone took the stage at The Waiting Room in Omaha, Nebraska, and electrified the crowd with his soulful voice and infectious energy. 

The show kicked off with Anaheim, California native, Nicky Youre, who’s best known for his 2021 smash hit single, “Sunroof.”  Youre had amazing energy and his set included an awesome cover of “Everybody Talks” by Neon Trees, and his debut single, “Sex & Lemondade.”  He has an impressive 16.3 million monthly listeners on Spotify, and was the perfect way to kick off the night.

Decked out in a red cutoff Nebraska Cornhusker sweatshirt, Benson Boone was next to the stage, and kicked off his performance with a running back flip!  Boone is currently traveling the U.S. with his Pulse tour.  After jump-starting his set with a bang, he slowed things down with a few heartfelt ballads. 

Throughout the night, Boone kept the crowd engaged with his playful banter and easy charm, sharing stories about his life and inspirations. The highlight of the night for me was when Boone performed his hit song, “In The Stars”, which he dedicated to anyone in the building that had lost someone important to them.  Boone explained that he got the news earlier that day that one of his favorite teachers had passed away.  There wasn’t a dry eye in the place, while he poured his heart into the performance.

The young singer-songwriter, who gained fame on the hit TV show “The Voice”, proved that he’s not just a one-trick pony, but a versatile and confident performer who can handle a range of genres and moods. His set, which ended with his smash hit, “Ghost Town”, took concertgoers on a rollercoaster of emotions.  Mark my words. This kid is going to be a HUGE star.  He has over 12 million monthly listeners on Spotify, and his new EP, “Pulse”, is fantastic!

Benson Boone’s concert was a night to remember, full of great music, positive vibes, and authentic talent. He proved that he’s more than just a TV star, but a rising artist who’s here to stay! In a really cool gesture, after a quick shower, Boone met with fans after the show to visit and take photos.  What an amazing night!
