October 29, 2019 – The Waiting Room – Omaha, NE
When I was 8 years old, if you would’ve asked me if I’d be seeing Tiffany in concert almost 30 years later, I wouldn’t have believed you, but that’s exactly what happened! On Tuesday night, October 29, 2019, 80’s Pop star, Tiffany, played for a small, but mighty crowd at the Waiting Room in Omaha, Nebraska. The concert, which was supposed to start at 8pm, didn’t actually get underway until after 9pm, but Tiffany’s fans didn’t seem to mind. Instead of having an opening act, a pink, hazy light illuminated the stage, while popular 80’s songs played for fans in attendance. When Tiffany and her band took the stage, the crowd filled the main floor, in order to get a closer look and enjoy the show. She opened her set with the song “Beautiful”, from her latest album, “Pieces of Me”, which was released in 2018. To say that Tiffany’s music has matured, would be an understatement. Most of the songs she played were newer tracks, which were catchy, but unfamiliar. Mostly known for her hits, “I Think We’re Alone Now”, and “Could’ve Been”, Tiffany has enjoyed a lot of success over the years. She’s had singles that topped the Billboard Charts, had a platinum album, appeared in television and movies, and even posed nude in Playboy Magazine. A lot has changed for Tiffany since her debut album in 1987, but her love for music has remained constant. She’s released four more studio albums, tours around the country, and has plans to release more new music next year. She was very gracious and personable with the crowd, and took a moment between each song to explain her song-writing process, some history. The first cassette tape I ever owned was Tiffany’s, and seeing her live and in person after so long was a definite treat!
