August 27, 2025 – Orpheum Theater – Omaha, NE
Wednesday night, August 27, 2025, the Orpheum Theater in downtown Omaha, Nebraska was the place to be. Rock legend Alice Cooper brought his twisted brand of shock rock to town, and he put on an amazing show. With no opener, fans didn’t have to wait long to witness the icon in action.
The stage was hidden at first by a massive canvas screen designed like a newspaper customized to Nebraska. As the lights dimmed and the music kicked in, Cooper’s silhouette appeared behind the screen. When it split open and he stepped through, the crowd erupted. This was my third time seeing him live, and he was just as good as ever—maybe better.
Alice Cooper, often called the “Godfather of Shock Rock,” has been pushing boundaries in rock music since the late 1960s. Known for blending theatrical horror with hard rock, his career has spanned decades with hits like “School’s Out,” “Poison,” and “I’m Eighteen.” He was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2011, and his shows have become the gold standard for rock theatrics. With over 50 million albums sold worldwide and a reputation as one of the greatest live performers in rock history, Cooper’s impact on music is undeniable.
Backing him was his killer touring band. Guitarist Ryan Roxie has been with Cooper on and off for years and is also known for his work with Slash’s Snakepit and Gilby Clarke. Bassist Chuck Garric, who joined Cooper’s band in 2002, is also the frontman of his own heavy metal group, Beasto Blanco. Drummer Glen Sobel is widely respected in the rock world, having won Best Drummer at the 2015 Loudwire Music Awards and performed with acts like Hollywood Vampires and Mötley Crüe. Guitarist Tommy Henriksen not only plays with Cooper but is also a songwriter and producer, and a core member of Hollywood Vampires alongside Johnny Depp. Nita Strauss, one of the most celebrated shredders in rock today, made history as the first female touring guitarist for Alice Cooper. She was named one of Guitar World’s “Top 10 Female Guitar Players” and won the She Rocks Award in 2018 for her contributions to rock music.
The setlist was jam-packed with 20 songs, a perfect mix of hits, deep cuts, and all the over-the-top theatrics Cooper fans love. From guillotines and straightjackets to creepy props and wild lighting effects, it was equal parts rock concert and horror movie. The crowd was locked in from start to finish, singing and screaming along with every moment.
Alice Cooper currently has over 5.4 million monthly listeners on Spotify, and his latest release, The Revenge of Alice Cooper, is definitely worth adding to your rock playlist.
It was a fantastic show. Cooper proved once again that age is just a number. He’s still one of the greatest performers alive. I can’t wait to see him again!
