Russell Mania Rocks Stir Cove

Friday night, September 11, 2026, Stir Cove in Council Bluffs, Iowa played host to another amazing concert as “Russell Mania” took over!

Russell Dickerson was in town, the place was packed, and once again, Stir Cove delivered.

Opening the show was Atlus, and he was a great choice to get the night started.

Atlus, born Sean Haywood, is a recording artist and songwriter from Denver, Colorado. His story is a pretty incredible one. He grew up in a single-parent home surrounded by poverty and addiction, and those experiences became a major part of the honesty behind his music.

Before music became his full-time career, Atlus worked as a commercial driver behind the wheel of semi-trucks. He actually wrote his first two albums while spending long hours on the road, using that time to work through lyrics and melodies while helping support his family and saving money for studio time.

That grind eventually started paying off.

Atlus built a strong underground following and later found himself performing alongside Jelly Roll at Red Rocks Amphitheatre in his home state of Colorado. He’s also landed a Top 5 album on Spotify’s Global Album Chart, earned a Platinum single, and accumulated more than a billion on-demand streams.

His sound is hard to put into one category, which is part of what makes him interesting. He pulls from pop, rock, and hip-hop without feeling like he’s trying to fit into any one lane. The common thread through all of it is the storytelling.

He really showed off that versatility throughout his set.

There were faster songs that got the crowd moving, but he wasn’t afraid to slow things down either. One of the more emotional moments came when he performed a song dedicated to his sister who passed away. It was a completely different side of his performance and gave the crowd a chance to connect with him on a deeper level.

He also worked a couple of covers into the set, which helped keep things familiar for anyone seeing him for the first time.

Atlus recently signed with BBR Music Group/BMG Nashville, and his debut release with the label, “Devil Ain’t Done,” is available now.

He put on a great opening set and did exactly what an opener should do. By the time he finished, the crowd was ready for Russell Dickerson.

After a brief intermission, it was time for Russell Mania!

The lights dimmed, smoke started filling the stage, and the massive “Russell Mania” logo took over the video screen.

Then Russell Dickerson hit the stage, and the place erupted.

This guy knows how to put on a show.

Dickerson is a country pop singer-songwriter from Union City, Tennessee, who’s built an impressive career over the past decade. He started playing guitar when he was 15 and later earned a degree in music from Belmont University before beginning his professional career.

His breakthrough really came with “Yours,” a song he released in 2015 that eventually climbed all the way to number one on the Billboard Country Airplay chart. It also became a huge wedding song and helped introduce Dickerson to a much larger audience.

That was only the beginning.

“Blue Tacoma” and “Every Little Thing” also reached number one, giving Dickerson three chart-toppers from his debut album alone. “Love You Like I Used To” followed with another number one, and “Happen to Me” eventually became his fifth song to reach the top of the Country Airplay chart.

He’s also toured alongside some of country music’s biggest names over the years, including Thomas Rhett and Billy Currington, and made his Grand Ole Opry debut back in 2016.

In 2026, he even became the first country artist to appear in a KIDZ BOP music video when he made a cameo in their version of “Happen to Me.”

This was my fourth time seeing Russell Dickerson live, and once again, he delivered.

His energy is off the charts.

From the second he stepped onto the stage, he looked like he was having the time of his life. That’s one of the things I’ve always enjoyed about seeing him live. He doesn’t just walk out, sing the songs, and leave. He puts everything into the performance, and the crowd feeds off it.

People were singing along throughout the night, and every time another familiar song started, the reaction seemed to get louder. Dickerson has built up a catalog filled with songs people genuinely love, and hearing those songs with thousands of other fans makes them even better.

Four shows in, I can safely say he’s never disappointed me.

He looked and sounded great, and the Russell Mania production added another fun layer to the night. The giant video screens and smoke made his entrance feel like a much bigger spectacle, but once the music started, Dickerson’s personality carried the show.

He currently has over 4.9 million monthly listeners on Spotify, and judging by the size and energy of the crowd at Stir Cove, his popularity doesn’t appear to be slowing down anytime soon.

Russell Dickerson gave everyone their money’s worth, Atlus was a great surprise to start the night, and Stir Cove added another fantastic concert to an already incredible summer lineup.
