If you were craving an amazing concert, Judah & the Lion delivered with their “The Process Tour” at Steelhouse in Omaha, Nebraska on Sunday night, October 6, 2024.

The night kicked off with Omaha locals, Feel Good followed by Abe Parker.

According to their Facebook page, Feel Good is a group of friends who love making raw, emotional music together.  The band actually won a contest Judah & the Lion were having to give local bands a chance to open for them on the tour.  They had great energy and are definitely worth checking out if you’re in the Omaha area.  Their latest single, “Save Some Love for Me” is one you should add to your playlist!

Up next on the stage was Abe Parker, someone I hadn’t heard of before, but after just a few songs, I became an instant fan.

Parker is an up-and-coming singer-songwriter known for his heartfelt lyrics and soulful, pop-infused sound. Originally from Georgia, he gained attention with his smooth vocals and relatable songs that touch on love, life, and personal growth. His music often blends acoustic and pop elements, creating a laid-back yet emotional vibe that resonates with fans.

Abe first started building a following through social media, where his catchy hooks and raw performances caught the attention of listeners. Over time, he’s expanded his reach, playing live shows and releasing a string of singles that showcase his unique style and strong storytelling ability. Currently, he has over 1.3 million monthly listeners on Spotify, and his latest release, crawl back to me, is fantastic.

From the moment he set foot on stage, his music had a way of instantly connecting with the crowd. His voice was smooth and full of emotion, and you could feel the heart behind every song. He played a mix of acoustic and pop-infused tracks, and it created this really laid-back, chill vibe in the venue.

What stood out the most was how genuine he seemed on stage. He interacted with the crowd, told stories between songs, and made the whole thing feel personal. By the end of his set, everyone in the room was hooked—including me. He’s definitely worth checking out if you get the chance!

After a brief intermission, it was time for Judah & the Lion!

For those that aren’t familiar, Judah & the Lion is a vibrant and energetic band that blends folk, rock, and pop elements into their unique sound. Formed in 2011 in Nashville, Tennessee, the group consists of lead vocalist Judah Akers, guitarist and vocalist Brian Macdonald, mandolinist and banjo player, and multi-instrumentalist, and drummer Spencer Cross. Their infectious energy and catchy melodies have made them a favorite in the indie music scene.

The band gained significant attention with their breakout single “Take It All Back,” which topped the charts and earned them a spot on Billboard’s Hot 100. Their album Going to Mars further solidified their place in the music world, earning critical acclaim and fan praise alike.

They’ve been nominated for several awards, including a nomination for the American Music Awards, and have performed at major festivals like Bonnaroo and Lollapalooza.

These guys absolutely rocked the stage!  From the moment they kicked off with “Denial,” the energy was electric. Judah Akers has this amazing stage presence that draws you in, and the band’s chemistry is undeniable. They seamlessly blended folk, rock, and pop vibes, making it impossible not to dance along.

The crowd was super into it, singing along to every song, and the band made sure to keep the vibe lively with some fun banter between tracks. I loved how they incorporated different instruments, especially the mandolin and banjo—it really added to their unique sound. The highlight for me was when they played “Suit and Jacket”; my favorite song of theirs.

From start to finish, it was an amazing night filled with great music and even better vibes.

If you ever get the chance to see Judah & the Lion live, definitely do it. I promise that you won’t regret it!
