On August 26, 2024, The Astro in La Vista, Nebraska was the site of an unforgettable night of music as Lindsey Stirling brought her 2024 Duality Tour to town.

Kicking off the night’s entertainment was Saint Motel, a band fronted by lead vocalist and pianist A/J Jackson, with Aaron Sharp on guitar, Dak Lerdamornpong on bass, and Greg Erwin on drums.

Saint Motel first gained attention with their debut EP, ForPlay, in 2009, followed by their first full-length album, Voyeur, in 2012. Their breakout moment came with the hit single “My Type” from their 2014 EP of the same name. The song became a global sensation, earning them spots on the charts in the UK and the US, and even featured in various commercials and TV shows.

The band is also known for their innovative approach to music videos and live shows, often incorporating elements of virtual reality and immersive experiences. They’ve toured extensively, playing major festivals like Coachella and Bonnaroo, and have a loyal fan base that loves their energetic and visually engaging performances.

From the moment they hit the stage, the energy in the amphitheater was electric. A/J Jackson’s charismatic stage presence had the crowd in the palm of his hand, and the band’s infectious sound kept everyone dancing from start to finish.

The mix of old favorites and newer tracks created a dynamic setlist that felt fresh yet familiar. Aaron Sharp’s guitar work was spot on, adding a vibrant edge to the catchy melodies, while Dak Lerdamornpong and Greg Erwin provided the tight rhythm section that kept everything grooving.

Their ability to blend music, visuals, and a bit of theatrical flair made the concert feel like a party you never wanted to end. By the time their set ended, the crowd was left buzzing, ready for the headliner!

After a brief intermission, it was time for Lindsey Stirling!

For those that aren’t familiar, Lindsey Stirling is a dynamic violinist, dancer, and composer who took the music world by storm with her unique blend of classical violin and electronic dance music. Born in Santa Ana, California, in 1986, Lindsey first gained widespread attention as a quarter-finalist on the fifth season of America’s Got Talent in 2010. Although she didn’t win, she used the exposure as a launchpad for her career, building a massive following on YouTube with her innovative music videos that showcase her talents as both a musician and a dancer.

Her self-titled debut album, released in 2012, quickly made waves, with tracks like “Crystallize” becoming viral hits. Lindsey’s music combines classical violin with dubstep, EDM, and other modern genres, creating a sound that’s all her own. She followed up with albums like Shatter Me (2014) and Brave Enough (2016), both of which charted high on the Billboard 200.

Lindsey has earned several accolades, including Billboard Music Awards for Top Dance/Electronic Album for Shatter Me and Brave Enough. She was also nominated for a Grammy in 2017 for her album Brave Enough in the Best New Age Album category.

Beyond music, Lindsey has authored a memoir, The Only Pirate at the Party, and appeared on Dancing with the Stars in 2017, where she finished as the runner-up.
