October 3, 2023 – Pinnacle Bank Arena, Lincoln, NE

On Tuesday night October 3, 2023, Nickelback brought their Get Rollin’ Tour to the Pinnacle Bank Arena in Lincoln, Nebraska, and it was awesome!

The night kicked off with country rock superstar Brantley Gilbert, and he didn’t disappoint.  The stage was brilliantly designed, and the lighting and visuals were a feast for the eyes. From dazzling pyrotechnics to stunning laser displays, the production added an extra layer of excitement to an already thrilling show. The giant video screen displayed captivating imagery that enhanced the storytelling aspect of Gilbert’s songs. 

From the moment he stepped onto the stage, the crowd erupted with excitement. He kicked off the show with one of his signature hits, and the energy in the air was palpable. Gilbert’s band was outstanding, delivering tight and powerful instrumentals that complemented his rugged voice perfectly.

His setlist was a mix of his greatest hits and tracks from his latest album, and every song felt like an anthem. Highlights included “The Weekend,” “One Hell of an Amen,” and “Bottoms Up,” which had the entire crowd singing along at the top of their lungs. He also showcased his versatility with acoustic moments that allowed his storytelling abilities to shine, providing a nice contrast to the high-octane moments.

Gilbert’s stage presence is something to behold. He exudes confidence and a genuine love for performing that connects him with his fans on a deep level. He interacted with the audience throughout the night, sharing stories behind his songs and expressing his gratitude for the support of his fans.

His powerful vocals, dynamic band, and magnetic stage presence made for an unforgettable experience. From start to finish, his set was a rollercoaster of emotions, and I was so thankful I finally got to see him live.  What a way to kick off the night!

After a brief intermission, it was time for Nickelback!

The band, known for their chart-topping hits and robust stage presence, delivered a night of rock and roll that left the audience in awe.  From the moment they took the stage, they had the crowd in the palm of their hands. They opened with, “San Quentin,” and the energy was electric. Nickelback’s musicianship was on full display, with Chad Kroeger’s distinctive vocals leading the way. The band’s tight instrumentation and harmonies were impressive, proving that they are true masters of their craft.

Their setlist was a perfect blend of their greatest hits, including “Far Away,” “This Afternoon,” and “Photograph,” alongside tracks from their latest album. The crowd sang along enthusiastically to every song, creating a memorable sing-along experience that united fans old and new.

Nickelback’s stage presence was commanding and engaging. Chad Kroeger interacted with the audience, sharing anecdotes and expressing gratitude for their ongoing support. The band’s chemistry was evident, and they played off each other’s energy to create a dynamic and entertaining performance.

The atmosphere at the concert was electric and infectious, and I was surprised to see so many young fans in attendance. It was awesome to see fans of all ages and backgrounds come together to celebrate the music they love.

Nickelback’s 2023 Get Rollin’ Tour was a rock and roll extravaganza that left a lasting impression. Their powerful vocals, exceptional musicianship, and engaging stage presence were a testament to their status as rock icons. The combination of their timeless hits and new material created a well-rounded and satisfying show that appealed to both long-time fans and newcomers.

If you ever have the chance to see Nickelback in concert, I highly recommend it. Their ability to captivate an audience and deliver a high-energy performance is a testament to their enduring appeal in the world of rock music. This concert was one to remember!
